Awesome job! Members made 200 cards in about 40 minutes for Veterans at the VA hospital in Temple. Special thanks to fellow ASTRA COMMITTEE MEMBERS FROM ALTRUSA INTERNATIONAL OF TEMPLE: Mary Arredondo, Teresa Bechtel, Sherry Ainsworth and Traci Squarcette.

Thank You ASTRA BHS, ASTRA Salado & our wonderful Altrusa members who joined forces to deliver fleece tie-knot blankets to the residents of The Rosewood Nursing Home in Killeen. It took many, many hands to make all of the blankets and a few proud representatives to deliver to the sweet residents!! AWESOME TEAMWORK!!!

REMINDER: Our next meeting is Tuesday December 1st and we will be making fleece blankets for the nursing home. Bring two pieces of fleece fabric (1 yard each) and scissors/ruler if you have them. Anyone is welcome to join us! Meet in the Library after school.

REMINDER: We will meet up on Saturday, 11/28 to assist with laying of the wreaths. Plan to meet at the parking lot of Texas A&M Central Texas at 8:15am. We plan to board the shuttle bus at 8:30am. I will have ASTRA Signs so you can see where to meet. We will try to park in one of the far corners of the lot and will be in a red Nissan sedan. I plan on leaving one car at the Veterans Cemetery just in case the shuttles are running behind. Dress Warmly and wear your ASTRA Shirts. Bring a warm coffee or cocoa.
