Well… this was a surprise! ❤️

Last week I got a letter in the mail and honestly? I tossed it aside because I figured it was just another piece of junk mail. 😂

Fast forward to today during nap time, and a man showed up with this package and left it at my door. I opened it and couldn’t believe it.

My first instinct was to be hard on myself and think, “Well… I was only #2.” What have I been doing for 30 years..but then….

This wasn’t something I applied for.
This wasn’t something friends or family nominated me for.
According to the letter, this recognition was based solely on the the families I’ve had the privilege of working with.

That hit me right in the heart.

To every family who has trusted me with your babies over the years, thank you. Thank you for believing in me, supporting my small business, and allowing me to be part of your children’s lives. There truly is no greater compliment than knowing the people who know me best think I’m doing something right.

And to whoever beat me for #1… I’m coming for you next year. 😜😂

Each box is filled with a s’mores kit, yummy candy, and a little holiday bling to make the day extra special. I know they’re going to enjoy it 🥰

One of the hardest parts of this job is saying goodbye to the little friends we grow to love along the way. It’s always bittersweet watching them move on to their next adventure. 🥹💛

But their loss is another little one’s gain! As of today, we have one childcare spot available.

I made the kids’ holiday lunches and the eggs are ready so are the treats and little surprises… so I think I’m ready for tomorrow. 😅

If I just keep repeating “I’m ready, I’m ready, I’m ready…” eventually it will become true, right?

Amazon did me dirty by shorted me on the lids for our charcuterie/lunch boxes, but no big deal — providers are basically professional at “making it work” right? 💁‍♀️

The eggs are ready, we’ve have an egg drop game planned, and fun activities lined up for the kiddos tomorrow.

Now all I have to do is survive the sugar rush. Wish me luck

Sensory play is one of our favorite ways to learn. These themed sensory bins help little hands explore textures, practice fine motor skills, spark imagination, and build language through play.

🚀 Our astronauts celebrated tonight’s moon launch by exploring a space sensory bin filled with rockets, planets, and astronauts.

🐰 Then our spring explorers hopped over to the Easter sensory bin to find bunnies, eggs, and carrots hidden in the garden.

Just another day of learning through play on this rainy day!

Unfortunately, I forgot to post a weekly update on the food box donation, an activity that I have always cherished doing with the kids. I am thrilled that Ms. Daronda took on this challenge with us, and she certainly earns bragging rights for the next year. Congratulations to her and her kids. Together, we have made significant progress in filling food boxes this November, and we are only halfway through the month.
