🎬 IT’S SHOWTIME, BLAZERS. 🎬

Before the first student ever walked through our doors this year, our staff was already hard at work preparing for what comes next at Chisholm Trail Elementary.

And what comes next matters — because we know how far we have come.

Our students and staff have been busy writing a story about how amazing Chisholm Trail Elementary is; and the evidence is overwhelming.

📈 Accountability growth by a full letter grade
🏆 A Science Distinction from TEA
🔥 A campus that continues to move forward, improve outcomes, and prove that the sky is the limit

We are incredibly proud of those accolades — but we also know they are not the finish line.

They are evidence that the work is working.

This summer and throughout inservice, our staff went right back to work sharpening our craft and preparing for the next chapter.

Our teachers engaged in professional learning centered around:

⭐ Get Your Teach On instructional strategies to increase engagement, rigor, and meaningful learning experiences.

⭐ Solution Tree PLC & RTI practices so teams can answer the questions that drive our work: What do students need to know? How will we know if they learned it? What will we do when they haven’t? What will we do when they already have?

⭐ Kid by Kid. Skill by Skill. — our commitment to differentiation and knowing exactly where individual students are, what they need next, and how we will respond.

⭐ Capturing Kids’ Hearts because high levels of learning happen when students first know they are safe, valued, connected, and deeply cared for.

This is what it means when we say we are building a campus where every student can learn at high levels.

And that commitment extends far beyond professional development.

Our Campus Improvement Plan keeps our work grounded in four areas: Students. Staff. Community. Financial Responsibility.

You may notice new visuals throughout our building that bring our mission, vision, expectations, and direction to life. You’ll see a refreshed exterior with new decal graphics welcoming our community to Blazer Country. We are PROUD of Blazer Country. You’ll see hallway learning pods intentionally standardized and coordinated to create attractive, functional spaces where students can receive small-group instruction.

You’ll also see something different on our walls.

Our hallway bulletin boards have been standardized to showcase student work connected directly to the TEKS and the success criteria our teacher teams identify through the PLC process. Our hallways should not simply be decorated — they should tell the story of learning happening inside our classrooms.

And perhaps some of the most important boards in our school display something much simpler:

Every child’s name. Every child’s dream. Every child’s future career goal.

Because that is our number one job.

Our vision is to be an innovative, high-performing campus that empowers problem solvers, fosters creativity, and grows future leaders.

Those names on our walls are the future leaders we are talking about.

They are future teachers, engineers, doctors, artists, entrepreneurs, mechanics, scientists, nurses, first responders, leaders, creators, and problem solvers.

Our job is to help them believe those futures are possible — and then give them the knowledge, skills, experiences, relationships, and opportunities to get there.

And none of this work happens without a community behind us. ❤️

A HUGE thank you to our Chisholm Trail PTA for taking such incredible care of our staff throughout inservice! They fueled our team with breakfast tacos, coffee and energy drinks, provided snacks as we prepared for Meet the Teacher, and surprised us with sweet treats and HTeaO for the perfect mid-inservice pick-me-up.

Those gestures may seem small, but to a staff working long days preparing classrooms, studying data, planning instruction, learning new strategies, and getting ready to welcome hundreds of Blazers — they mean more than you know.

This year’s theme is “It’s Showtime!” 🎥⭐

And it could not be more fitting.

Because the preparation has happened.

The systems are stronger.
The learning is deeper.
The expectations are higher.
The building reflects our vision.
Our staff knows the work.
Our community is strong.
And most importantly, our students are capable of extraordinary things.

We are proud of the story our accountability results and distinctions tell about where we have been.

But we are even more excited about the story we are writing next.

The stage is set.

The cast is ready.

The cameras are rolling.

And at Chisholm Trail Elementary, we are just getting started.

🎬 It’s Showtime.
❤️ Teach. Empower. Inspire.

🎬✨ LIGHTS. CAMERA. BLAZERS! ✨🎬

The first day is officially in the books, and what a way to start the show! ❤️🖤

From the smiles at arrival to the learning, laughter, new friendships, and Blazer pride filling our halls, today was a reminder of just how special Chisholm Trail is.

Our cast is here. Our stage is set. And we have a feeling this is going to be one AMAZING school year! 🌟

Here’s to a year of teaching, empowering, inspiring, and showing everyone what it means to .
