We are excited to announce we will be hosting a FREE book fair for our high schoolers! We are hoping to capture some of the nostalgia and magic of traditional elementary book fairs to help our secondary students rediscover their love of reading. New or used books can be dropped off at BHS front office (just tell them they’re for the library). If you’re interested in donating newer, popular titles, I can send you a list of what has been most popular with students this year! Email questions to [email protected].

What the students learned from their Floral Breakout: scientific names, floral arrangement vocabulary, and more!
What we learned: that this generation has not watched Alice in Wonderland, so we need to pick more modern themes for our breakouts 🤦♀️

As part of the national America250 America Gives initiative, the Texas State Library and Archives Commission has challenged all Texans to reinvigorate a national culture of service; everyone is encouraged to read, visit state parks, and participate in community service. They especially encourage reading about Texas and American history and nature. Pictured are just a few of our American and Texas history books—come in today for a book recommendation or to find out how you can give back to our local and school community through acts of service! Record your minutes to receive a certification of completion signed by the governor.
