If you have children who constantly need attention, check if their 5 primary emotional needs are met. Those needs are: Love; Structure (routine, boundaries, & consistency); Wisdom (Wise trustworthy role models); Involvement (choices); & Fun. When these needs are met, children are already getting attention. It's when one or more is not met, that they usually want more.

We finished Circle Time and went to the art area. Outside we saw how much snow had come down in the hour since we had breakfast. Wow! The kids are so excited. Hopefully you can see though the window, snow coming down really heavy.

It is hard sometimes but when you do take the time to truly engage, it sends the message that what they say and who they are is important. Remember, parents are a child’s first and most important teacher.
