🥋 NAGA Austin — what a day! 🏆
What an amazing day for our JC School of Jiu Jitsu team! We had several of our students compete at NAGA Austin yesterday, with most of our competitors being kids and one of our adult students stepping on the mats as well.
The results were excellent, but what made us even happier was seeing our kids having fun, enjoying the experience, and putting into practice everything they’ve been learning at school. ❤️
Of course, we all train to win. Competition is an important part of Jiu-Jitsu, and we want our students to learn how to compete, overcome challenges, and always give their best.
But at this age, we believe it’s even more important that they enjoy the process. We don’t want unnecessary pressure around medals or results. We want them to learn what competition feels like, gain confidence, support their teammates, learn how to win with humility and lose with resilience — and most importantly, have FUN doing Jiu-Jitsu.
They’re kids. They’re not professional athletes. There will be plenty of time to worry about results later. For now, we want them to love the sport. 🥋❤️
Congratulations to ALL of our students who competed, and a huge thank you to all the parents who supported them, cheered them on, and trusted us with their journey.
And of course, thank you to our coaches and everyone who came out to help and support the team. It truly takes a team! 👊
We’re proud of every single one of you.
On to the next one! 🔥
We’re still missing a few photos, so stay tuned for more! 📸
