Great morning for some competitive racing at the Elizabeth S. Broughton Memorial Invitational in Marietta. Our athletes ran tough, and most improved their times from last meet. Medalist for the day were high schoolers Drew Williams (8th), Ellie Whitlatch (17th), and Gabby Campbell (18th). For complete results, click on https://runsignup.com/Race/Results/Overview/169711.

Our next race will be the Scenic Hills Lions Club Invitational at Warren High School on Saturday, September 5th. The HS girls race will start the day at 9:00.

Huge win for our Golden Eagle football team last night at Ralph Holder Stadium. Our boys jumped out to a commanding 29-0 lead at the end of the first quarter and then rode a dominant defensive effort to a 49-0 victory. Scoring touchdowns for the Golden Eagles were Alex Parker(2), Slade Atkinson, Jayden Gibbs(from Malik Currie), Maverick McCartney, Mason Baxter, and Chance Bailey. Awesome all around effort to our team and coaching staff! Special congratulations to Coach Hutchinson on his first career victory. Next Friday we travel to Frontier to take on the Cougars at 7pm! Hope to see everyone there!

Congratulations on a big night for our Golden Eagle golf team last night! Big shoutout to James Lemon, Leo Blair, and Leham Lincoln who all shot their personal bests at Ohio University yesterday evening! Awesome job guys! Keep working!

GOLDEN EAGLES SOCCER — SECOND WIN OF THE SEASON!

Last night the Golden Eagles Soccer team hit the field for a match against Tyler Consolidated. Junior Striker Preston Foss struck the back of the net 3 times, with Sophomore Nolan Rodgers adding 3 goals as well, and Senior Erica Mosor adding 1 from downtown!

The Eagles brought home their second win of the season, led defensively by Player of the Match, Junior Corey Wiggins.

Great job, Eagles!

We kicked off the XC season at the Waterford Invitational on a tough, muddy course. The athletes ran well and pushed hard. Medalists for this evening’s meet were eighth grader Lewis Miller (5th) and high schoolers Ellie Whitlatch (6th), Gabby Campbell (15th), Drew Williams (9th), Maddox Crum (14th), and Brayden McDaniel (15th). We will be back in action on Saturday for the Elizabeth S. Broughton’s Invitational at the Broughton’s Nature Trail in Marietta. The races will start with the HS boys at 9:00.
