This activity is great for working on the child's understanding of one-to-one correspondence (the idea that each object counted corresponds to one and only one number). This activity can also help build a child's sense of number, which will help when they engage in mental math.

I love watching the children come together to be creative and build together.
Block play is a powerful, open-ended activity that boosts cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development. It enhances fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and spatial awareness. Furthermore, it fosters early math and science concepts (like geometry and gravity) while encouraging creativity and collaborative problem-solving.
