Learning doesn't stop when summer begins! ☀️

Our School District of Beloit middle school students are making the most of Summer School by building creativity, inquiry, literacy, problem-solving, numeracy, and collaboration skills as they learn together at BMHS.

From hands-on activities to meaningful collaboration, our students are staying engaged, growing their confidence, and preparing for a successful school year ahead. We are proud of the enthusiasm and dedication they bring to learning all summer long!

You are all invited to welcome Daniel Ortiz Hernandez to Beloit tonight at the community reception!

The community is invited to an open house reception with Beloit City Manager Daniel Ortiz Hernandez, who officially started with the City of Beloit on June 22, 2026.

The reception will be held 5-6:30pm Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Rotary River Center, 1160 S. Riverside Drive, Beloit. Popsicles, cookies and other refreshments will be provided. Beloit residents are invited to meet Ortiz Hernandez, enjoy the sweet treats, and stay to explore Riverside Park.

Ortiz Hernandez spent his first week in Beloit meeting the city’s senior leadership team and began reviewing budget requests for the city’s capital improvement plan.

“In the weeks ahead, I look forward to hearing from employees across the organization and continuing to learn from their experiences and perspectives,” Ortiz Hernandez said. “I also look forward to meeting more residents, whether at community events, local businesses, neighborhood gatherings, or simply while exploring the city with my family.

“The enthusiasm and dedication I have already seen from City staff and community members make me even more excited about the future of Beloit. Thank you again for the warm welcome. My family and I are excited to be part of this community and proud to call Beloit home.”

As we prepare for the upcoming school year, families are encouraged to review the transportation information for the 2026–2027 school year.

If your family has:
✅ Moved to a new address
✅ Changed schools for the upcoming school year
✅ Newly enrolled in the School District of Beloit

..please complete a Transportation Request Form to ensure your student is routed for the start of the school year. The Transportation Request Form can be found in Skyward Family Access and on the School District of Beloit website.

Transportation Request Deadline: July 31, 2026
Requests received after July 31 may not be routed until approximately two weeks after the start of school.

Bus route pick-up and drop-off information will be mailed to families on August 18, 2026.

⛳️ A great day on the course for a great cause!

The Academies of Beloit recently hosted its 2nd Annual Golf Outing and Fundraiser. Proceeds from the event help support senior scholarships as well as Academy events and student experiences throughout the year.

A special thank you to The Morse Group for serving as our Title Sponsor and Alongi Santas Moss Insurance Agency for sponsoring food and beverages. We are also incredibly grateful to all of our hole sponsors, vendors, and raffle prize donors for their support.
