Fort Hays Tech North Central As a prospective student, we would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to our college. Most programs are either 9 or 18 months in duration.

Fort Hays Tech | North Central is a fully accredited 2-year technical college with campuses in Beloit and Hays, KS. We offer 25 different programs that result in degrees in a diverse list of careers paths that include agriculture, mechanics, nursing, culinary arts, technology and more! These short term programs allow students to be trained and equipped with skills to enter the workforce in a short

amount of time. Programs can also be combined to create a customized Associate of Science Degree. This enables a student to marry an Electrical Technology program, for example, with a Business program so that upon graduation, the student will not only be equipped with skills in Electrical Technology, but also skills to run his/her own business. This powerful combination allows students to enter the workforce with all the skills needed to succeed in a short time frame. The college also offers online classes and credits that transfer to 4 year institutions for students who are looking to further their education upon graduation at Fort Hays Tech | North Central.

This morning President Burks was on breakfast duty and served up stacks of pancakes, crispy bacon, and all the tasty fixings to the students, faculty, and staff on the Beloit campus. Everyone came hungry and left happy.

Nothing brings Tigers together quite like good food and great company!

🏆 Congratulations to Mark Jones, our Fall 2026 212° Award recipient!

Mark has been a dedicated member of Fort Hays Tech | North Central for more than 23 years, currently serving as Heavy Equipment & Division Chair.

Most recently, Mark played an instrumental role in helping our Heavy Equipment program acquire brand-new Caterpillar and John Deere equipment—working through a lengthy procurement process to make sure everything met the requirements of a major governmental grant.

His leadership, dedication, and willingness to always go that extra degree make Mark incredibly deserving of this recognition!

Orientation Day in Beloit!! The students, faculty and staff gathered together to celebrate the first day of classes. After the assembly, the students had a little fun! They divided into teams and had a “shoe scramble relay”. It went how you expected it would go 😂
