The Russian School of Mathematics (RSM) opened in 1997 with a goal of creating a unique after-school mathematics program.

Ranked one of the best schools in the world by the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth, Russian School of Mathematics helps children of all levels build a solid math foundation and develop their critical-thinking and problem-solving skills. Our mission was to build a systematic math education based on the traditions of Russia and Europe and adapted to the needs of American students. Today, we

๐ŸŒŸMeet Daniil Shangin! ๐ŸŒŸ

For 6 years, Daniil has been part of RSM, and his dedication continues to shine. This year, he took on AMC 8, IMC, and Noetic Spring, proving once again that consistency and hard work pay off.

Daniil's secret? A smart, focused approach to studying. He believes in working strategically, not just harder.

๐Ÿš€His advice to other students:
"Solving past years' exams, pinpointing problems that indicate knowledge gaps, then closing these gaps with extra practice are the keys to success."

This is the kind of mindset we are always proud to celebrate at RSM, students who take responsibility for their own progress and never shy away from a challenge.๐Ÿ’ซ

Congratulations, Daniil, on 6 amazing years with RSM! We're so proud of you and excited to see what's next. ๐ŸŽ‰

๐Ÿ’ซLucas Wang has been with RSM for 4 years, and this year he has taken on an impressive lineup of competitions, including AMC 8, IMC, RSM Olympiad, Math Kangaroo, MOEMS E, Noetic, and CML.

What sets Lucas apart is his mindset. He approaches every problem with focus and discipline, always striving to get things exactly right.๐Ÿš€

When asked his advice, Lucas kept it straightforward:

"I emphasize the importance of accuracy and efficiency."

โ˜€๏ธIt's a simple philosophy, but a powerful one. For Lucas, success in math isn't just about knowing the answer, it's about getting there the right way, every time.

Congratulations, Lucas! We can't wait to see what you accomplish next!๐ŸŽ‰

At RSM, every student's journey is unique, and we are always excited to see where it leads.

Meet Aastha Gupta, an RSM alumna whose passion for learning continued well beyond the classroom. Aastha earned her undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University, followed by both a Master's degree and an MBA from the University of Florida.

Looking back, Aastha credits RSM with giving her a strong mathematical foundation that helped her excel in AP Calculus BC, earning college credit and allowing her to skip a calculus course in college.

One of her favorite memories is learning with Mrs. Bock:

"She was always so friendly and made sure you understood everything every step of the way. She explained concepts in multiple ways, so everything always made sense."

Aastha especially appreciated RSM's small class sizes and supportive learning environment, which helped her develop confidence in mathematics that stayed with her through college.

Her advice for current RSM students is simple but meaningful:
"Grades aren't everything! They're important, but it's okay to fall. As long as you pick yourself back up again."

Thank you, Aastha, for sharing your story with the RSM community. We are proud of all you have accomplished and wish you continued success in the future.

Summer is the perfect time to pause and ask: Does my child have enough time to daydream, explore, and simply play?

In a world of packed schedules and endless activities, children still need time to be kids, to imagine, create, socialize, and grow through both structured experiences and free play.
