There is no historical equal for this AI technological leap; the only analogy might be the lord of the rings for superintelligent AI. Don't rush to put it on your finger. Please pause and take time to prepare all of humanity. This should not be a military moment; it should be a global humanitarian moment. Thank you Bill Gates for this perspective.

AI will either be the greatest equalizer ever invented, or the worst source of injustice. We need to start planning now so it makes the world a fairer place.

Please consider signing this petition to ban devices that are AI-based "smart" anti-mammal devices, which harm dogs and people who are highly sensitive, including people who are neurodivergent. They were engineered so that people with average hearing can't hear them; with zero protections for sensitive groups. If all people could hear them, they would never point them at a mammal (raccoon or otherwise) because they are in humane and they are taking over Silicon Valley. Let's stop the spread, nationally.

I've never been a fan of Bernie Sanders but he has my attention. He is confronting reckless AI development and Big Tech in a way that everyone in Congress should be doing. There needs to be a pause, a moratorium, on a national scale. I'm not convinced that the AI Pact goes far enough. It's still not hearing what Anthropic and Bill Gates are saying about the threats AI technology poses to all of humanity. AI is not just innovation. This is a major turning point in human history and we are driving into that curve too fast.

We need to stop throwing money at AI development so that developers stop and think about the consequences of their actions and so that politicians can develop AI Safety Plans and AI Economic Plans. This technology should be in a lab, not used on battlefields where we are training it to obliterate humans.

Playing it safe is not a good political strategy. Becerra needs to talk to the media, keep giving speeches and keep answering hard questions about his ideas. This election is not a done deal. Hilton is very persuasive. Becerra should be confronting Hilton's ideas in the media every day until election day. This state can swing red. It has in the past. We are not a guaranteed-blue state and Trumper leadership at this stage would be an absolute disaster. The GOP is no longer itself. The Republican Party has lost its way and Becerra needs to remind voters of that, daily, as well as clarify what Becerra is going to fight for in this state and in this country. We are in the fight of our lives to save this Democracy and our workers' economy. Voters need to feel that energy. Don't act like you've already won. Campaign like you're the underdog. Start now.

Bonta is right. The merger of Paramount and Warner Bros is not only an anti-trust problem, it is a problem for Democracy. Democracy requires diverse voices and competition. Dictators need only one media outlet for one uniform message. We cannot allow our entertainment and media companies to fall into the hands of the super-rich who support dictatorship. Inconvenience is how the Republicans will try to hold on to their incompetent "power" which in Congress just means rubber stamping everthing Trump does.
