BES would like to give a BIG congratulations to our 4th grade students who earned Mastery or Exceeds Mastery on the ELA and/or Math General Summative Assessment last spring! 📚✏️🌟
These students were recognized during our morning meeting today and celebrated by their fellow students and staff. We are incredibly proud of their hard work, dedication, and achievement! 👏🎉

Today was a special day at Belmont Elementary as we celebrated our brand-new Pre-K and Kindergarten–4th Grade playgrounds! ✂️🎈

Our students had the BEST time exploring the new equipment, and their excitement made this day even more special! 🛝💙

A huge THANK YOU to all of the individuals, organizations, and community members who helped make our new playground a dream come true. We are so grateful for your support of our students and our school! ❤️

📚✏️ BES 3rd & 4th Grade Beginning of Year Assessments

Our 3rd and 4th grade students will soon be participating in their beginning-of-year assessments. These assessments help us understand each student's learning needs so we can provide the best possible support throughout the school year.

Families can help by:
✅ Making sure your child is at school on time each testing day.
✅ Ensuring they get a good night's sleep and eat a healthy breakfast.
✅ Encouraging them to do their best—we believe in every one of our students!

Assessment Schedule:

📅 Thursday, August 27 – ELA
📅 Monday, August 31 – Writing

Kindergarten families, Farm Day flyers were sent yesterday with all kindergarten students.

Farm Day will be Friday, September 18, 2026, at the Agricultural Fair at the St. Marys Marina! Students will get to visit the animals, enjoy a hayride, make butter, and explore all the fun the fair has to offer. 🐖🐄🐓🚜

Please review the flyer, complete the permission form, and return it to school. We’re looking forward to a moo-velous day! 🐮💚🌾
