Just a little over 24 hours to order a pizza from Comella's for the BMS Welcome Back Picnic on Thursday! Fill out the form in this post to pre-purchase a pizza and support the PTO!

Come to the Belmont Middle School Welcome Back Picnic Thursday, 8/27, from 5-7. This annual event is a great way to meet other BMS families, learn about the PTO, and get into that back-to-school mindset!

Bring your own food, or fill out this form (https://forms.gle/9Cq3xVf3b3iBWxe66) if you plan on attending the picnic and would like to order a pizza from Comella's for your family. The purchase of a pizza will result in: a) an easy meal option for you and your family at the picnic and b) a small monetary donation to the Belmont Middle School PTO. The PTO uses its budget to buy supplies for your students' teachers and pay for a variety of fun events your students will enjoy over the course of the school year. This form will close at 7PM on Tuesday, August 25, so please get your order in by then! We will order a few extra pizzas to sell by the slice, but these will be very limited.

Please note that payment by check or Venmo is preferred. We will have limited cash to make change at the event.

Welcome new followers of the Belmont Middle School PTO! I'm Eric Perkins, co-president (and currently only president) of the PTO. School might be a month or so off, but I want to get a head start on welcoming new parents to BMS, and get some feelers out for folks who would like to contribute to the PTO.

Most importantly! I am looking for a PTO co-president for this year. Being a BMS co-president is a lighter left than it is for the elementary schools, and it's a great opportunity to: get access to school principal Russ Kupperstein; have bi-annual meetings with Superintendent Geiser; meet other middle parents; and most importantly, ensure our kids are able to enjoy the many activities the PTO coordinates. Parents and caregivers of rising 9th graders are invited to join us next Wednesday, June 3rd at 7pm in the BHS Media Center for "Ask A 9th Grader." The facilitated panel will feature current 9th graders answering questions about their experience at Belmont High School and will include topics ranging from the BHS daily routine to extracurricular clubs and sports to BHS culture to student life. A reception will follow - a great opportunity to talk with other parents about the upcoming transition! 🎉 Tickets are on sale for the 8th Grade Party! 🎉 BMS 8th graders are invited to join the fun 🌴 from 6pm to 9:30pm on Thursday, June 11th and celebrate the end of the year with carnival games and prizes 🏆, a DJ 🕺, and pizza and treats 🍧. 7th grade parents, we need your help! The 8th Grade Moving Up ceremony will be on the morning of the last day of school, Tuesday, June 23rd. The BMS PTO assists with this ceremony and reception to celebrate BMS 8th graders moving on to the high school next year! Traditionally, we ask parents/caregivers of 7th grade students to help out so the 8th grade families can enjoy the event. The BMS PTO is looking for 5 to 7 volunteers to help set up decorations and refreshments for the reception and help clean up afterwards. Come toward the beginning to help with set-up or the end to help with clean-up -- or make a morning of it and help with the entire event! Please sign up using this link:
