Gratitude (2410) - Tucked away on a hill in Belmont is Habitat Education Center & Wildlife Sanctuary. When we moved back to MA in 2020, I revisited Habitat and did a few paintings one day. I finished this particular painting a few months ago. I hope it expresses the wildness and joyful colors of the hot summer afternoon I spent in this peaceful sanctuary.

Vibrant clusters of pink and orange flowers burst across a lush green background, creating a lively garden scene. The thick, textured application of colors gives the impression of abundant blooms amidst rich foliage.

Morning Light at Wellfleet Bay (2408) - It had been several years since we last visited Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary. On our annual trip to Provincetown, we would stop at Wellfleet and spend the morning there. Peggy would bird-watch and I would paint en plein air. In July, we renewed our journey! The moment we emerged from the car, we began to breathe deeply, feeling the calmness settle into our bodies. Ah, Wellfleet Bay, I missed you!

Omega Sunflower (2409) - Last summer at Omega Institute in New York, sunflowers were abundant in the gardens. One vibrant yellow sunflower seemed to be waving to me. Its fiery red accents stood out against a lush green background, creating a lively, welcoming scene. Tiny hints of additional flowers in soft colors add a graceful touch to the composition.

Lily for Peggy (2407) - Birthday card for Peggy: a vibrant orange lily with detailed petals and stamens. Used my teeny tiny brushes for the delicate lines. Love those yummy colors!

Brattle Street Roses (2406) - On a bike ride one morning, I was astounded by the hundreds of pink roses gracefully arching over a white picket fence. It was such a serene and idyllic garden scene. The combination of floral details and the rustic fence conveys a sense of peaceful beauty.
