We’re so excited to bring back our Just Listening Interactive Workshop with Dr. John Morrison this fall! 🎶👂

Just Listening invites students to explore new and unfamiliar music through fun, guided listening activities. Students will practice listening with focus, staying curious, and discovering how music can tell stories and spark the imagination—even when it’s something they’ve never heard before!

We’re excited to wrap up our summer season with the Attacca Adult Chamber Music Session II Concert this Saturday, October 29th at 3:00 PM!

Come enjoy an afternoon of music performed by our vibrant community of adult musicians who have spent the summer making music, building connections, and forming new friendships through chamber music. 💛

✨ NEW AT ATTACCA: FELDENKRAIS FOR MUSICIANS

We are so excited to host our first Introduction to Feldenkrais for Musicians workshop with the wonderful Eve Boltax — longtime Feldenkrais® practitioner and professional violist! 🎻

Making music asks our bodies to coordinate incredibly complex movements and turn them into gestures that feel simple and natural. But sometimes, without realizing it, we can get in our own way.

The Feldenkrais Method® offers musicians a fresh perspective on movement and on playing with your whole self. Musicians have used the method to help prevent and recover from injuries, navigate performance anxiety, and discover greater freedom and ease in their playing.

During this introductory workshop, instruments will be put aside as Eve guides participants through a gentle Awareness Through Movement® lesson.

🌿 Open to students ages 11 and up
🌿 Parents are welcome and encouraged to participate
🌿 No prior Feldenkrais experience necessary
🌿 Yoga mats are recommended
🌿 Only 10 spots available — space is limited!

About Eve Boltax
Eve is a Boston-area Feldenkrais® practitioner and professional violist whose musical background gives her a unique understanding of the physical subtleties of playing an instrument. She has guest taught at Harvard University, Boston Medical Center, Boston Public Library, the Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival, The Dance Complex, and more.

We are thrilled to welcome Eve to Attacca and introduce our community to another way of supporting healthy, expressive, and joyful music-making. 🎶

🎶 Please join us in welcoming Mary Kray to Attacca!

We are delighted to welcome Mary Kray to our Voice Faculty for the 2026–2027 school year!

Mary is a warm, flexible, and student-centered teacher who works with singers at every stage of their musical journey—from discovering the joy of singing to developing healthy technique, preparing for auditions, and building confidence on stage. As a multi-genre vocalist, she brings experience in classical music, musical theater, contemporary styles, and songwriting to her teaching.

Mary holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Northern Arizona University and a Master of Music in Opera Performance from Boston Conservatory at Berklee. Her teaching experience includes work with Arlington Children’s Theatre, Berklee’s Vocal Choral Intensive, and the Handel and Haydn Society Youth Choruses.

Alongside her teaching, Mary is an active performer in Boston’s classical music community and currently serves as an Emerging Artist with Boston Lyric Opera.

At the heart of Mary’s teaching is a holistic approach to vocal development—helping students build healthy, sustainable technique while developing confidence, individual artistry, and a positive relationship with their voice.

We’re so excited to have Mary joining the Attacca community and can’t wait for our students and families to get to know her! 💙🎤

Fall is just around the corner, and Attacca Youth Chamber Music begins in about one month! 🎶

Join us this fall for an incredible opportunity to learn how to play with others, make new friends, and experience everything that making music in an ensemble has to offer.

Open to students ages 7 and up, from developing musicians with 1.5+ years of private lesson experience to intermediate and advanced students.

Choose from two tracks: Classical or Contemporary.
