Dr. Helen Marlo, Dean of Notre Dame de Namur University’s School of Psychology, and founder of Mentoring Mothers, which supports perinatal mental health, was recently interviewed by People magazine to provide expert insight into postpartum mental health and questions surrounding postpartum psychosis that have emerged during the Lindsay Clancy trial.
Dr. Marlo discussed important distinctions between postpartum depression and postpartum psychosis, how symptoms of psychosis may not always be apparent to others, and the role of integrated treatment.
Through her participation, Dr. Marlo brings her clinical and scholarly expertise to a timely national conversation and helps deepen public understanding of the complexities of postpartum mental health.
