Happy Feast Day! St. Rose of Lima (1586-1617) was the first person born in the Americas to be canonized a saint and was renowned for her deep love of God, extreme acts of penance, and compassionate care for the poor and sick. Inspired by her devotion, she once said, “When we serve the poor and the sick, we serve Jesus. We must not fail to help our neighbors, because in them we serve Jesus.”
Her legacy as the patron saint of Latin America and the Philippines continues, and her life is a witness to finding profound meaning and grace in service, humility, and sacrifice.
Let us continue to model St. Rose in our lives everyday! St. Rose of Lima, pray for us!

SRHS/SRGS ALUMNI REUNION! The SRHS Class of 1986 held its 40th Alumni Reunion this past weekend and the SRGS Class of 1982 got together for their own picture! Alumni shared fond memories of their grammar school days and SRGS loves having Mrs. Urspruch (third from left) teaching our 8th grade! SRGS Fall Sports 2026 registration is now open for Soccer and Cross Country! Register online by visiting www.srgs.org/athletic-programs. Registration deadline is Monday, August 31, 2026.
NOTE: Some teams may have tryouts to cap the size of the team. Once completed, go to our Athletics > Fees & Forms page. All medical forms and required fees must be submitted BEFORE the athlete can participate. All forms and fees must be handed in the first day of school, Tuesday, September 1, 2026. GO WAVES! 🌊

ALTAR SERVER TRAINING SESSION 8/13: Calling all current, interested, or new altar servers! Father John Paul will be doing a refresher AND new altar server training session on Thursday, August 13th at 11:00am. Father will then walk the group over to Federico’s where they will be treated to lunch! Parents can pick up at Federico’s around 1:00pm.
