The NEIU Student Emergency Fund has provided nearly $15,000 in grants to 33 students and counting. Students are using these grants pay for food, hygiene items, medicine, utilities and other emergency expenses as they continue to pursue their degrees. Thanks to everyone who has donated! Applications continue to come in quickly. If you have not already, please consider supporting this fund at neiu.edu/studentemergency. Every dollar goes directly to support students in need.

Please share with anyone who has DACA.

If you are a Mexican national, and your DACA expires between September 5th, 2017 and March 5th, 2018, please know that the Mexican Consulate in Chicago is covering the $495 renewal fee. Remember that the application must be submitted by October 5th, 2017.

You can either dial (312) 738-2383 and ask for the Protection Department or visit the Consulate General of Mexico in Chicago without a previous appointment during regular office hours. The Mexican Consulate is located at 204 S. Ashland Avenue, Chicago, IL 60607 and the walk-in window is open until 5 pm Monday through Friday.
