The Bellwood-Antis girls softball probably couldn’t have imagined a worse start to their District 6 2A playoff semifinal at home yesterday against Southern Huntingdon. B-A got off to sort of a shaky start where on the first pitch of the game Lainey Stinson gave up a double. Then just a few pitches...

The Blue Devil baseball team plays today in Johnstown at 6 against Bishop McCort in the District 6 2A semifinals. They'll be leaning heavily on players like senior Camden Swogger, a four-year starter who does as much with his leadership qualities as he does he bat and glove. He's our Athlete of the Week.

The Blue Devil baseball team has had its best season since COVID, making the playoffs for the first time in 5 years and picking up some huge wins in the process. Senior Camden Swogger has been a vital part of that resurgence. He is batting .400 with 4 home runs to go along with 19...

Throughout the school year, Bellwood-Antis students go to the Greater Altoona Career and Technology Center (GACTC) to get into the workforce early and earn a nice paycheck. Parker Martin joined a very exclusive group of athletes at B-A two weeks ago when she joined the Lady Devils softball team's 100 hits club. Martin leads the team in hitting and is a big reason B-A has turned the program around to go from 1 win Martin's freshman season to 16 this year and a No. 2 seed in the 2A playoffs. Read all about it here.

One hundred hits is a tough milestone to reach in a high school career. It takes talent and consistency, and a couple extra playoff games here and there doesn’t hurt either. That’s what makes Parker Martin’s milestone even more special. Martin reached 100 career hits two weeks ago against Ches...
