Oh, how true this is. And how thankful we are. 💙

A balance board. A football toss. It looks like play — but it's actually the brain and body re-wiring, strengthening, and filling in what was missed.

That's the gift of neurodevelopmental work, and we're honored to be part of it.

Why are these two playing Spot It with their arms raised? 🤔

The body is multitasking. They're strengthening their neck and spine and stimulating the brain stem - the part of the brain that helps with focus and regulation.

This position is actually a precursor to crawling. You've probably seen a baby on their tummy, arms lifted, locked in on a toy or their favorite person. 😍 Same wiring, just a few years later.

Follow along for more information on how movement strengthens the brain. 🧠

What if the edge your athlete is looking for isn't in the weight room? It's in their brain.

The FALCON Center's neurodevelopment modalities help Faith Academy Bellville athletes sharpen the skills that matter most on the field and the court:

✅ Hand-eye coordination
✅ Faster reaction time
✅ Advanced vision training
✅ Bilateral coordination (both sides of the brain working together)

The same tools that help our students learn better help our athletes compete better. That's the power of neurodevelopment.💪🧠

Your child's ability to read, write, and even manage emotions may depend on one surprising developmental skill. 👇

What is "Crossing the Midline"?

It is when a hand, foot or even eye crosses over the imaginary line that divides the body into left and right halves. It sounds simple, but it involves the communication of the two hemispheres of the brain.

When this skill hasn't fully developed by 8 or 9 years old, it can impact:
✏️ Writing
📚 Reading
🏃‍♂️ Athletic ability
😀 Emotional regulation

At the FALCON Center, we use research-based exercises to strengthen the brain through frequency, intensity, and duration. Every child's brain is uniquely wired. We'd love to show you how we support yours. Come take a tour!

The FALCON Center wishes our founder, Mrs. Merlene Byler, a joyous and memorable birthday today!💙🎂

More than 30 years ago, she listened to and was obedient to God's will for her to found Faith Academy Bellville and then The FALCON Center. Her heart is fully committed to helping children who struggle at school to overcome challenges and live the lives God has planned for them. Mrs Byler has touched thousands of lives over the years, and we are thankful for her!

Happy Birthday, Mrs. Byler! ✝️🥳
