Look at these pictures. Our students and teachers did not hold back for Hawaiian Day.

Quick reminder that it’s a short week, and Friday is a big one. It’s Patriotic Day, so wear your red, white, and blue! We’ll start the morning with a pep rally and take time as a school to remember 9/11 and the heroes of that day. And Friday night — a home football game!

If we showed up this big for leis and sunglasses, we know we can do it for the stars and stripes. Let’s see everybody in red, white, and blue — and then in the stands that night.

Once a week, Mrs. Robin shares her favorite books with lower school Patriots and then lets them check out three to take home.

Even Mrs. Holly likes to slip in and listen!

Watching these kiddos walk out with their little bag of books makes us smile.

Every school morning before many of us have finished our first cup of coffee, a small crew of sixth graders is already at the flagpole. And every afternoon, they’re back — lowering the American and Christian flags and folding each one into that crisp triangle.

Nobody has to remind them. Nobody has to straighten their folds. They take this job seriously.

LET’S MAKE THIS OUR BIGGEST HOMECOMING PARADE YET!

Pinewood’s Annual Homecoming Parade is Monday, September 28th at 6:00 PM followed by our Homecoming BBQ, and we want YOU to be part of it!

We’re inviting sports teams, academic clubs, pageant queens, local businesses, families, alumni, and anyone with Pinewood spirit to join the fun! Floats, trucks, trailers, golf carts, tractors and more are welcome—all transportation must be approved by administration.

Please review and follow all parade rules. Completed entry forms should be returned to Brittany Brannen’s box in the front office.

WHAT A DAY TO BE A PATRIOT!

Our Pinewood student-athletes showed up, competed hard, and represented PCA in a BIG way!

Varsity Softball picked up their FIRST REGION WIN of the season with a victory over Trinity Christian!

Middle School Softball also brought home a WIN over Trinity Christian!

Middle School Football put together a dominant performance, earning a SHUTOUT WIN over Bethesda!

Our Cross Country teams hit the course at Savannah Christian and represented Pinewood so well. We are incredibly proud of the effort, toughness, and determination they continue to show!

And a VERY special congratulations to Lanier Sittle, who recorded her FIRST-EVER OUT-OF-THE-PARK HOME RUN! What a moment and an accomplishment to remember!

Wins are exciting, but we are even more proud of the hard work our student-athletes are putting in every single day. The hours of practice, the commitment to their teammates, and the way they represent Pinewood make us proud!

Keep working. Keep competing. Keep representing the GREEN & ORANGE!

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” — Joshua 1:9

Courage isn’t the absence of fear — it’s trusting that God goes with us wherever He leads. This summer, He led the Griffith and Wigley families all the way to Peru — and this week, He led them right to our chapel stage.

In TV-style interviews, our students heard firsthand what it looks like to lead with courage, serve with open hands, and step out in faith far from home. And the same courage they carried to Peru filled our chapel — from our praise band boldly leading worship, to our senior teacher assistant leading the motions in the final song of middle school chapel.

Leading takes courage at every age, and our Patriots are living it out. What a powerful picture of Learn. Live. Lead. in action!
