Our Jellyfish class has been busy learning, exploring, and growing together! 💛
You may see simple activities like expression blocks or small world play—but there is so much meaningful learning happening beneath the surface.
When children use expression blocks, they are building social-emotional skills by learning to recognize feelings, read facial cues, and practice expressing emotions in a safe, playful way. These early experiences lay the foundation for empathy, communication, and positive relationships with others.
During our jungle rescue play, children strengthened their fine motor skills as they carefully moved and manipulated the animals wrapped in pipe cleaners. Activities like this help develop the small muscles in their hands, which are essential for later skills like writing, self-feeding, and independence. At the same time, they were problem-solving, using imagination, and working alongside peers—learning how to persist through challenges.
In early childhood, play is not “just play”—it is how children make sense of the world. Every activity is intentionally designed to support development across multiple areas while keeping learning joyful and engaging.
