Bells ISD Parents and Community Members,

Bells ISD will be participating in a live emergency response training exercise at Bells High School this Saturday, October 10th, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Personnel and emergency vehicles may begin arriving in the area as early as 8:00 a.m.

This training exercise is being conducted in coordination with the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office, Texas DPS, Bells Police and Fire Departments, Grayson County Office of Emergency Management, and other local public safety agencies. The exercise is designed to provide law enforcement, fire, emergency medical, school, and other public safety personnel with realistic training in responding to a critical incident at a school campus.

Please be aware that you may see a significant law enforcement and emergency response presence in and around Bells High School during the exercise. This may include emergency vehicles, law enforcement officers, fire personnel, and other first responders. This is a planned training exercise. There is no actual emergency or threat to Bells High School or the Bells community.

For the safety of participants and to allow the exercise to be conducted without interference, we ask that parents and community members avoid the Bells High School area during the exercise whenever possible.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as Bells ISD and our local public safety partners work together to strengthen emergency preparedness and ensure the safety of our students, staff, and community.

Panther fans, we have to change the football schedule this week due to a lack of officials for Friday night's game. The varsity game will now be played on Thursday evening, still in S&S and still at 7:00 pm. The Junior High and JV games will now be played on Wednesday, still in Bells and still starting at 4:30 pm. We apologize for the inconvenience.
