We are pleased to announce that 5 Advanced Science Research seniors have been named Semifinalists in the 2025 Regeneron Science Talent Search. This is the nation’s oldest and most prestigious science and math competition for high school seniors. Congratulations to our scholar scientists: Gabriella Elliot, Mark Prainito, Joleen Shau, Jayden Simon, and Mason Tso.

John F. Kennedy High School proudly earned the NYSPHSAA School of Distinction Award for the 2023-2024 school year. This award is presented to schools that have 100% of their varsity athletic teams qualify as Scholar-Athlete teams, by maintaining a team GPA of 90% or higher.

We are pleased to share that this week we announced our Class of 2025 Valedictorian, Mark Prainito and Salutatorian, Jayden Simon.

Both Mark and Jayden are wonderful role models for their peers and the underclassmen. Their active participation in extracurricular activities demonstrates a healthy ability to maintain high academic standards while still enjoying the total high school experience.

This week, Max Frank, Grace Ham, JJ Pizzirusso, Joshua Polinsky, Nick Sabo, Jack Levitt, Jacob Moont, and Hendrick Capo competed against teams from Mepham and Calhoun in the inaugural Empire Games Firefighter Competition sponsored by Merrick Fire Department. Congratulations to the Kennedy team on their 1st place finish. A special thank you to Empire Hose Company 3 for providing our students with this amazing experience.
