Get where you need to go—so you can finish what you started.

The Last Mile Foundation announces a new Transportation Access Fund, a $12 million, 3-year initiative to help financially vulnerable STEM students get to class, internships, and jobs.

Ford Philanthropy is the founding partner, with Uber and Rocket Community Fund joining as inaugural donors. The fund aims to support 7,700 students nationwide, covering gaps like unexpected car repairs or limited transit access, the kind of logistical barrier that can derail a student who is otherwise on track to graduate.

Faculty and Instructors, please share this information with your students.

Students: This funding is a gift — not a loan or scholarship. You do not pay it back. There is no tax burden. This does not reduce your financial aid and their are no GPA requirements.
If approved, the money is yours to remove a barrier and keep moving forward.
