People have asked “how’s it going?”
Moving from a 800 ft.² Studio to a 2400 square-foot studio !!
It has been three of the most exhausting and exhilarating weeks of my life !!
Today I finish moving out of an 800 square-foot studio that I opened four years ago hoping 50 people would wanna come in and play with Clay.
It’s been a four of the most amazing years of growth in the studio from student retention, instructor hiring, and constantly trying to find just a little more space for everyone.
The goal create a community that cares for each other and likes to make things in clay.
A year and a half ago an opportunity to grow did come up, it seemed perfect. but fell through.
Trusting God ,I prayed that I would not be discontent in my small space and I would wait for him, if it was his will.
 It was a year of caring for my parents. A lot of hospital visits a lot of emergency room visits. Loss in my family. I can’t imagine if we had moved during that season.
My prayer didn’t include the best building anywhere. It was the best building closest to my home as my parents live with me.
I am now two minutes closer to my home. 6 minute drive.❤️
The space has a designated kiln room, easy safe access, ventilation fans, exactly where I would need them, well lit parking lot, lots of great neighbors….
A gift. I will steward it well. My Seventh move. And I do feel my last.
I will be 60 next year and I have worked hard to get here. Self-employment requires of work. But balance. It requires a lot from your marriage and your children.
It also comes with a wonderful, wonderful, unexpected, delightful perks.
In the magic isn’t the space it’s the people in it whether it’s 800 ft.² or 2400 ft.²
As my husband would say, I love Clay, but I love people more.
We open September 13th, for 10 week sessions one time tries, hand-building, and private special events!!

And also another thank you to all of the instructors and students who have come out to scrape, paint ,move, pack, unpack, dumpster runs, wipe…
Your excitement about the space makes it feel much more bigger than what I had hoped for, but what you have dreamed of!
