I'm going to take advantage of my page "manager" status to promote this. I don't know how many of you remember Jen Owen, but she's a pretty damned amazing person. She & her husband volunteer their time and energy to all sorts of works around Bellingham. Additionally, her husband has been instrumental in the development of a prosthetic hand that can be printed on a 3D printer, for just a few dollars. He was recently on the Katie Couric show! But here's the deal, he doesn't make any money off the hand design, and volunteering for veterans events doesn't bring in much either. Earlier this week Ivan was in Seattle, again volunteering his time for work related to the prosthetic hand, when their car was stolen. We're hoping folks will help pitch in and give them some help. So...I'm sharing this here, hoping some of you will be willing to help, or even just pass this information along. This donation site is based in Australia, so each "dollar" donated is really only worth about 89 cents here in the US.
Accept my apologies in advance if sharing this on this page offends you, but this is a classmate of ours who needs some help. This seems like the right place to share the information.
