The class of 2023 was blessed to have Fatima and her twin brother join their eighth grade this year. With just a short time at ACS, they have really added to the legacy of this group.

What do you love most about ACS: I loved the fun times and activities that happened at school, like assemblies and the trip to Washington DC.
Favorite Bible Verse: Joshua 1:9: "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."

Sixth graders are diving into an advertising unit. Early last week they looked up examples of bandwagon, testimonials, transfer, emotional words, and repetition propaganda used in advertising.
Seventh graders ended their last evening away in Portland praying the Luminous Mysteries. What a beautiful sight and opportunity to engage with prayer. They reflected on their time together and thinking of God's greatness under the stars.
Safe travels home to all our middle schoolers!
What a great kid, whom we will miss greatly! Joey has integrity and we know he will be successful at Squalicum High School in the fall.

Checking in with our seventh graders today as they hiked, explored, cooked, and visited the Grotto yesterday. Today they are at OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry). Looks like perfect weather too!
The whole middle school is currently out exploring and making memories together. Our students are blessed! We start the day today with the last two days in Washington DC with our eighth graders.
From the Holocaust Museum meeting with a real survivor, to the Capital Building, Pentagon, and Iwo Jima, we can't keep up with these kids (along with Mr. Anderson, Mrs. E, Mrs. Whelan, and Dr. Rush!)
Our seventh graders are in Portland on a science trip. This is another tradition we were extremely happy to bring back this year. Upon arrival last night they enjoyed time together star gazing, looking at nebulas, galaxies, Venus and Mars through a seven foot telescope! This morning they went on a camp hike with beautiful weather. The Grotto is on the agenda for this afternoon!
Enjoy your time this week!
While the eighth graders are away in DC and Jermaine is enjoying his class, and learning about the history of our country, we celebrate him and share his memories here. Over the weekend our students participated in a long time tradition at ACS, the Missoula Children's Theater. This year it was Rumpelstiltskin and our actors and actresses put on quite the show!
Thank you to all the volunteers and those who made this possible for our students.
From student ambassador, to basketball, and volleyball, Daliah is a leader that will be missed at ACS when she heads off to Squalicum next fall.

April was Poetry Month. Several classes enjoyed learning about a variety of poems, analyzing famous poets, and even writing their own poetry. We thought this 5th grade project was really neat!
We pulled off an epic whole school surprise for today!
Our teachers lined up forming a tunnel to cheer him on and show him his special seat. We put together a video showing our appreciation, focusing on how we can count on him!
Watch for the video this Wednesday.
We start the week off congratulating our next eighth grader, Nicolas. He particularly enjoys being on stage and acting where he shines in every role he gets. Nicolas will be attending Bellingham High in the fall and we wish him luck on this next path.
