A great music program needs more than talented students and dedicated teachers. It needs instruments that actually work. 🎶

At Squalicum High School, a BPSF grant helped cover the repair and purchase of band instruments, giving students access to the tools they need to learn, practice, and perform.

For a student who is excited to play, a broken instrument shouldn't be the thing that stands in the way.

Sometimes, what a student needs most is simply a supportive place to land.

At The Cove, Sehome High School’s after-school tutoring center, students can get help with homework, catch up on assignments, ask questions, and have a place to focus after the final bell rings.

And for some students, simply having a safe space to be for more hours of the day is the exact kind of help they need.

For some students, the right equipment can be the difference between sitting on the sidelines and joining in.

At Cordata Elementary () , a BPSF grant provided new sensory-friendly soft balls for students with special needs and those participating in adapted PE.

The new equipment gives teachers and paraeducators safer, more accessible tools for movement activities, helping more students participate, explore, and find ways to be successful in PE.

Sometimes inclusion starts with something as simple as having the right ball to throw, catch, roll, or kick. 🏀

We are thrilled to fund 11th and 12th grade students to go see Seattle Rep's production of "John Proctor is the Villain" this year!

🎭 Arts experiences like this one can have lasting effects for students for years to come (remember some of your own special field trips?? We bet you do!).

It’s time for the annual block party! 🎉

✏️ More than 30 community organizations will be on-site offering resources, services, and info, including before and after school care, early learning opportunities, and health services.

💪 Families will also have access to free sports physicals, vaccinations, and haircuts!

Are you ready for the BEST party of the year?! 🥂

Mark your calendar for 10/16 for the return of BPSF' signature event, our Promising Futures Gala!

This year's gala is inspired by the timeless elegance of ch*****ne, and will be held at the beautiful Chuckanut Bay Distillery Ballroom. Cocktail hour, a gourmet seated dinner, and our famous Dessert Dash will all be part of the fun. And *new* this year - we'll have a W**e Pull to test your luck at getting a top-tier bottle of bubbly AND an afterparty to keep the fun going after the last paddle is down!

Tickets go fast for this, you won't want to miss it. Keep an eye out for tickets to go on sale in early September.

A huge thank you to Haggen for selecting us for their Building Brighter Futures campaign! Through your generous donations at the Fairhaven and Barkley locations, we raised a total of $10,500!

This money goes directly to supporting the students here in our community, from basic needs and crisis support to giving our students outstanding educational opportunities (like these students from this year's Legos for Learning grant, combining robotics and coding with the creativity of lego builds).
