Bellingham High School Theatre Presents:
The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde
Bellingham High School Theatre is thrilled to present The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde, reimagined with a splash of British 1970s whimsy and a touch of retro soap opera flair. Performances run November 13–15 and 20–22 at 7:00 p.m., with special matinee performances on November 15 and 22 at 2:00 p.m.
Wilde’s sharp-witted comedy of manners follows two charming bachelors who create elaborate double lives to escape social obligations whilst pursuing romance in the most delightfully absurd ways. Set in a world of witty wordplay, mistaken identities, and over-the-top elegance, this 1970s-inspired take captures the glitz, humor, and melodrama of a bygone era while staying true to Wilde’s timeless satire.
Each evening features a rotating cast, ensuring no two performances are exactly the same, along with special pre-show performances that add an extra layer of fun to the night’s festivities.
Tickets are $10 general admission and available online or at the door.
