To all of our students starting a new school year, and to those heading back into the classroom as teachers and school staff, we hope it is a great one!
Whether you are starting a brand-new school, a new grade, college, teaching a new class, or just getting back into the routine, remember that the same things we work on in the dojo go with you everywhere: confidence, respect, perseverance, focus, and the willingness to keep trying when something feels hard.
A new school year brings new people, new challenges, new routines, and a whole lot of change. Give yourself time to settle in, be kind to the people around you, and don’t be afraid to be a beginner at something.
To our younger students, our college students, and our adults who spend their days teaching and supporting others, we are cheering you all on.
