Getting loads of sun this summer? You might think you can skip the vitamin D.

Maybe. But sunscreen, time indoors, your skin tone, your age, and where you live all cut how much you actually make.

Folic acid is not folate. Your prenatal should know the difference.

It needs to contain ACTIVE folate: (6S)-5-methyltetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF) and folinic acid, the forms your body can use directly.

Start with the word. Folate comes from "leaf." Folic acid comes from a lab. It's a manufactured form that requires conversion before your body can use it and some research suggests that unmetabolized folic acid may compete with active folate for receptor binding.*

Active folate is crucial for supporting healthy DNA synthesis and cell division, placental development, neural tube formation, and more.*

So here's the whole test. Flip the bottle over. If the label says "folic acid," put it back on the shelf.

The standard response to post-meal discomfort is to reduce stomach acid. But for some people, that may not be addressing the full picture.

Acid production tends to fall as people get older, and low acid creates a sensation that's easy to mistake for its opposite.

Acid has a job most people never hear about. It supports pepsin, the enzyme that breaks protein down, and pepsin only functions in an acidic environment. When acid runs low, that relay can stall. Protein sits half-digested, and you feel it as heaviness, and a meal that seems to just sit there for hours.

That's the gap Dr. Lynch built Stomach Acid Nutrients to close. Not betaine HCl on its own like most products, but the acid, the pepsin it supports, the chloride the stomach uses to make more, and the B1 the acid-producing cells run on, in one capsule taken with food.*

Should you take a prenatal as a multivitamin? The real question isn't why you'd take a prenatal as a multivitamin. It's why you'd settle for less.

A prenatal isn't a "pregnancy vitamin." It's just a multivitamin built to a higher standard, because it has to be. And because it's built to leave nothing out, a prenatal often goes further than a standard multi, reaching for the kind of nutrients you actually feel day to day.*

Take glutathione. Most people have never heard of it, but it's your body's built-in antioxidant — it’s what your cells rely on to protect themselves every day, and one of the reasons skin can look and feel its best.* Your levels drop over time, and almost no standard multi includes it.

There's also CoQ10, the spark your cells use to make energy — it helps your body make the most of the rest you're already getting. The B vitamins are in their active, ready-to-use forms, so you actually feel them. And the minerals your hair, skin, and nails are built from are in forms your body can absorb, not the standard forms with limited absorption.*

Most standard multivitamins don’t include all of this, or just address the bare minimum core nutritional needs. A prenatal doesn't. A prenatal is designed to support the creation of life. Turns out, what it takes to grow a life is exactly what it takes to feel fully alive in yours.*

It's 9:30 and the sun's barely down. You're exhausted, you want to sleep, but your brain's still wide awake and your body has no clue it's bedtime.

Summer messes with this. The light sticks around so late that your body thinks it's still the middle of the day. The tired-enough-to-sleep feeling doesn't kick in til way later. Throw in a hot bedroom and you're just lying there.

Magnesium is the mineral that supports your nervous system in shifting out of "go" mode. It calms the signals that help your body wind down and relax.* Most people don’t get enough, and you can't build that up the night you need it. Consistency is key, and so is having a form of magnesium you can actually absorb. A lot of brands use magnesium oxide, which has limited absorption and leaves you staring at the ceiling at 3am.

Our Optimal Magnesium capsules combine two bioavailable forms of magnesium that support that deep, restful sleep you’re after.* It’s been one of our best sellers for years, for good reason.
