Here’s to a new school year and a new season! 🍂

We are embracing all things autumn around here, and it has been such a joy to see our classrooms settling into the rhythm of a new year. Our students have been soaking up every bit of sunshine and when the rain comes, they don’t hesitate to put on their muddy buddies and jump in the puddles!

Our preschoolers have been busy exploring their new classrooms, practicing routines, and building friendships.

Our infants and toddlers have been busy discovering new things in their classrooms and outdoor play spaces. It’s exciting to watch how these new materials and environments inspire their play!

Throughout every classroom, there has been plenty of singing, story time, movement, sensory play, relationship building, and so much more!

As we embrace a new season and all the changes that come with a new school year, we are so grateful for the wonderful start we’ve had. We’re excited for all of the learning ahead! 🍁✨

Happy Dolly Parton Day! 💗

Today, we celebrated Dolly by wearing pink and enjoying a special read-aloud with Teacher Val! She visited each classroom to share some of the wonderful books we’ve received through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. 📚✨

🌻 Our Fall Family Picnic was such a wonderful evening! We kicked off the celebration with face painting, a friendly t-ball game, and opportunities to interact with the sweetest farm animals. Our families enjoyed time together and shared a delicious meal (shout out to Teacher Sheena for making all the food!). We closed the evening with a special storytime led by Teacher Val.

Thank you to all of the families who joined us, both our current BCLC families and our wonderful alumni families. It was so special to see familiar faces and reconnect with families who have been part of BCLC’s story. What a beautiful evening to come together as a community.

And of course, a huge thank you to Bode Farms for so generously hosting us! We had the loveliest evening at the farm, and our students are still talking about all of the animals they got to see.

We are so grateful for each and every one of you. Once a BCLC family, always a BCLC family! 💛🌻

Today, our Program Supervisor and Family & Community Engagement Coordinator had the opportunity to visit the BP Refinery and share about the incredible impact United Way has on our early learning center and the families we serve.

Through United Way, donations from members of our community, including the generous refinery workers, help support Bellingham Childcare & Learning Center’s tuition assistance program. This program helps make high-quality early learning more accessible to families of all income levels.

We are so grateful to all of the refinery workers who choose to give through United Way and to everyone who helps make this support possible. Your generosity has a direct impact on local children and families, and we are so thankful to be part of a community that invests in the future of our youngest learners! 💙

☀️ Sweet summertime at BCLC! 🌿

We are soaking up every bit of sunshine and all the joy that summer has to offer! Our days have been filled with exploring our nature yards, playing outside, and making delicious homemade treats-like refreshing yogurt pops.
