The Salesian Youth Movement (SYM) is a worldwide movement of young people present in 130 countries, an expression of Don Bosco’s pedagogy. In the San Francisco Province of the United States, the Salesian Youth Movement was launched in 1988. The desire to get together, to form groups, the attraction of communities was an experience in Don Bosco’s life that seemed to arise spontaneously, an expression of his temperament which was naturally inclined towards being open to people and making friends. Bringing young people together in groups is an indispensable factor in the kind of preventive and popular project that Don Bosco wanted to establish (cf AGC 294, 17)
Through a number and variety of youth groups and associations the Salesian Youth Movement ensures a high quality of educational presence towards a meaningful experience of the life of the Church.

These last two weeks were spent in dialogue, reflection, and pastoral planning with the Salesian Congregation. 🌎🌍🌏 Fr Fabian Cardenas and Victoria Figueroa represented the SUO province at the School for Youth Ministry Delegates. Thank you for Don Raphael, Don Joebeth, Don Carlos, Don Jerry, Antonella, and Monica for organizing such an incredible event! Our Salesian Family is strong 💪 VIVA DON BOSCO!
