As part of the City of Omaha - Mayor's Office’s Youth Climate Action Fund Mini-Grant Program, two (2) co-design workshops will be held as follows:

📆 August 27, 2026
⏰ 5:00-7:00 PM
📍 Learning Community of Douglas and Sarpy Counties | North (1612 N 24th St.)
&
Goodwill Omaha | South (3505 L St.)

These co-design workshops are an opportunity for eligible youth (ages 15-24) to learn about the grant opportunity, collaborate with peers, and receive hands-on support from city staff and community leaders 🫶🏾

Our goal is for many attending youth to have an application ready to submit by the end of the workshop 🤸🏾‍♀️

Applications are currently open and will close on September 8, 2026, at 4 PM ‼️

We are closing out July with another fun activity: Line Dancing.
We had so much fun last year whipping out our fans that we thought we'd do it again. Plus we love a workout that doesn't feel like a workout. Don't worry if you don't know any steps, our guest, Steve Miller will lead the way. It's beginner-friendly, but advanced steppers feel free to show off those moves. We'll have light refreshments and this is open to everyone! Don't forget to invite your kiddos or male counterparts.

Become a CNA for through Ignite Nebraska 🤸🏾‍♀️

This is a 6-week program that prepares you for a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant nurse 👩🏾‍⚕️

Individuals will spend five weeks building workplace skills and one week in CNA classes with a personal navigator supporting you every step of the way 💜

After, they will assist with employer introductions 🤸🏾‍♀️

Next cohort starts June 30th ‼️
