Loving and Caring for our Future Generation. Located between Clyde Hill and downtown Bellevue, WA. It is in this “middle of nowhere” that everything began.

I was born in a small town in the East of France to a family of hotel and restaurant owners. My husband never misses the chance to make fun of my hometown; he calls it “the middle of nowhere”. It is where my life was shaped to what it is now. https://business.facebook.com/notes/program-by-jessica-lalloz/about-jessica-lalloz/870853229749584/

Carrie Kenner becomes co-owner of Birthing From Within 04/19/2018

Carrie was my trainer for my doula birth training. I am glad she became the co-owner of Birthing From Within. Congratulations Big Belly Services !

Carrie Kenner becomes co-owner of Birthing From Within I first become a childbirth educator in 1981.  I loved learning about all the clinical aspects of birth, how to share information with parents, how I could prepare them for labor, and how to develop compelling activities for group instruction.  But it wasn't until I read 'Birthing From Within' in ...

Raising Bilingual Children: Who Should Speak What? 03/13/2018

" Who should speak what?" This is probably the most frequent question for parents in a bilingual family.

I've seen : Two home languages (one parent, one language), Non-dominant home language without community support, Non-native language used by one parent.

Our families have different motivations to send their children in a French immersion preschool: learning a second language, adding another language to languages spoken at home or in their community.

In any way, I have to say that I am amazed how quick children can learn a language, not only repeating words but also answering to questions.

My secret: I speak to them a lot, it is particularly hard when you are the only native French-speaker, rephrase, use synonyms and speak a lot again.

PS: songs, rhymes and finger play are also a good way to start with little ones.

Myths about Waldorf education

Playing “Steiner Says”: Twenty-two Myths about Waldorf Education | Waldorf Today - Waldorf Employment, Teaching Jobs, Positions & Vacancies in Waldorf Schools During my first year or two of teaching, our faculty meeting enjoyed the presence of two eminent European Waldorf teachers. My recollection is that one came from the U.K. and one from Germany, but that doesn’t matter. One appeared in the fall and one in the spring. The first, answering a colleague’s...
