Please join our Bellevue Association of Educational Office Professionals (BAEOP) Winter General Membership meeting virtually via TEAMS on Thursday February 6, 2025.
An email invite will be sent separately with a TEAMS link for the meeting. This is being sent ahead of time, so you can add this event to your calendar.
BAEOP membership, registration will be FREE for ALL AISP/SEIU members in attendance, which will be paid for by the AISP Grant. This was bargained for via the union contract several years ago. Anyone who is not represented by SEIU/AISP or any guests, will need to pay as follows:

Dear BAEOP members:

We are selling tickets for the BAEOP Holiday Raffle for $1 each. Drawing will be held on Tuesday December 3, 2024, at our BAEOP Holiday Social in Room 200 at ESC (East). You Do Not Need be Present to Win. Photos of raffle items are on the attached flyer.

All proceeds will go to the BAEOP Scholarship Fund, which will benefit BAEOP members and their college age children. Please support our efforts and let Nidhi know if you would like to buy some tickets. Since the drawing is only 2 weeks away, we would love your support in helping us to sell tickets in addition to buying them. This will allow us to raise more money for the Scholarship Fund.

Contact Nidhi at [email protected] if you would like to buy or sell tickets and she will send them to you through interoffice mail. You can sell to anyone: friends, family, and co-workers. Completed tickets and the corresponding dollar amount ($1 each), in either cash or check (payable to BAEOP), must be sent or hand carried to International School no later than Wednesday November 27, 2024 (due to the long holiday weekend). You may also hand carry them to the Holiday Social on December 3 (see details on attached flyer).
You can forward this email to your coworkers with the attached flyer it you want to let them know about the raffle. You may also choose to purchase tickets in person from Nidhi Chaturvedi at International School, or at the event on December 3rd. If winners are not present at the time of the drawing, they will be notified, and they may pick up their prizes from Nidhi at International School. Thank you in advance for your support.

Summer is coming to an end and school will begin soon. We hope you will take some time, before we get back to work, to join us as we celebrate our BAEOP members whose birthdays occur during the summer months. 

We will be arriving at Applebee's Grill + Bar Restaurant in Bellevue, WA, 98006 at 4:30 on Thursday August 29, but you may come for any portion of the evening.

We will have several door prize drawings during the evening. You may be a lucky winner.

Letter from Paula Jo Brave, CEOE, our BAEOP Co-Vice President & PSP Chair

Thanks to all of you for attending the BAEOP Year-End GM meeting.  I hope you enjoyed your evening as much as I did. It was nice to meet members from across the district. I hope you had a chance to meet someone new -- I know IIt was nice to meet members from across the district. There were nearly 50 people attending, with 14 of them being newcomers to BAEOP this year.  We also had several guests who there to honor a family member or co-worker, as they received recognition for one of the BAEOP Awards.  Maureen Hallock and Mamiko Morish*ta, they will receive Honorary BAEOP membership and we will encourage them to attend future BAEOP meetings.

The Year-End GM meeting is always fun, with the various scholarship and award recipients being recognized.  Many of us also look forward to seeing who will be the lucky winners of the Spring Raffle items, especially this year since we had 5 really great prizes. Through the support those who bought raffle tickets, we were able to raise $787.00 for the Scholarship Fund.  If you didn't win this time, you will have another opportunity at our Fall GM meeting (date and location will be announced in the fall).

As was mentioned at the meeting, we need your help to update our membership records for 2023-2024 and would appreciate if you could complete the online BAEOP Membership Form using the following link: BAEOP 2023-24 Membership Enrollment Form   (if the link doesn't work, you may need to copy and paste it into your browser address bar). This is for the current year which ends August 31st.  Starting September 1st, you will need to join again and update the form for 2024-2025. If you think you may have already sent us your information for this year, we would appreciate if you could do it again, just to make sure everything we have is current.  

I realize that some of you have plans for the summer and may be leaving soon for your vacation get away, so hopefully you can take a few minutes and complete the BAEOP Membership form before your summer gets too busy.

At 4:30pm we will have conversation and a warm beverage with treat, compliments of BAEOP (must RSVP by 1/26 to receive this in district mail). 🍪☕️

Our guest speakers will begin at 5:00 p.m. with a brief business meeting at 6:00 p.m. Then we will have door prize drawings for those in attendance!

Our guest speakers will present about mental health support for students, staff, and families.

1) Layne Barker- school psychologist by training and a founding member of BSD's Mental Health Assistance Team (MHAT), serving as our District's Signs of Su***de coordinator and a MHAT counselor for Tillicum.

2) Alyssa Symmes- school psychologist by training and a founding member of BSD's Mental Health Assistance Team (MHAT), working as MHAT counselor on special assignment, supporting district-wide attendance interventions, and the development and implementation of BSD's new staff peer support program.

3) Kernice Bowen- school counselor and social worker by training. She is the Director of Counseling and has worked nearly 20 years as a secondary school counselor.

Those attending will earn 2 hours of in-service to use towards their PSP!
