Dear Friends of Conan,
One year ago, today, we were gathered together listening to amazing students making music thanks to Conan McLemore. Who could have imagined the sadness that we would be feeling a year later for our friend, teacher, and co-worker.
This is a space where we can all share memories, pictures, and stories. Please feel free to share fun stories, sad stories, silly stories, how you met Conan, your favorite memory of him, or anything that comes to mind.

Phantom Lake Conservatory of Music
Hello and thank you for your patience.
For various reasons, many of the planning committee are unable to move forward with Conan’s in-person memorial. We will set up a digital memorial on the PLCM page in early February in a way that people can share their stories, pictures, and memories of Conan.
In order to help Conan's family take care of his belongings, we are trying to locate the bus that Conan purchased. We believe that one of the parents may have been keeping it for him. Please let us know if you have any information on it's whereabouts. Thank you.
Dearest Families and Friends of Conan and the Phantom Lake Conservatory of Music,
It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Conan McLemore.
Relatives and close friends have been contacted and we ask that you respect their privacy during this difficult time.
Please be thoughtful about how you talk about this, there are a lot of little hearts involved.
Information about his memorial will be posted as soon as it is finalized.
**All lessons are cancelled until further notice.
Sincerely and with heavy hearts,
The Phantom Lake Conservatory of Music Board Members and Staff
P.S. Turnadot is ok and has found a familiar and loving home with one of Conan's friends. Thank you to everyone who has asked about her.

Listening Assignment:
So What? That's the name of the song for this week: So What by Miles Davis. It is the first track on his 1959 album, Kind of Blue, which is one of the great jazz albums of all time. Five extra points if you can tell me who the saxophonist is.
