Buckets, bubbles, and servant hearts 🫧🚗
Last week, our 6th grade students spent the day serving at Jubilee Reach in Bellevue through a community car wash as part of the inaugural year of our new WAVES Middle School service program. From greeting guests with smiles to scrubbing cars with enthusiasm, students had the opportunity to practice leadership, teamwork, humility, and joyful service in a real and meaningful way.
WAVES is designed to help our Middle School students grow beyond the classroom through year-long opportunities to serve others, build character, and live out their faith in action — and our 6th graders are already making an incredible impact!

Our Kindergarten students enjoyed a fun and educational field trip exploring the beautiful recently! Guided by hatchery educators, students discovered the incredible life cycle of salmon through hands-on activities, learned how fish grow and adapt through each developmental stage, and explored the important role salmon play in the Pacific Northwest ecosystem. From observing fish up close to enjoying God’s creation on a sunny PNW day, it was a memorable adventure full of curiosity, discovery, and wonder! 🐟

Our 4th graders in Mrs. Youssef’s class recently completed a meaningful milestone—persuasive faith essays written to their future selves, reflecting on the importance of their faith. ✝️
This 5-paragraph writing assignment came to life during a special season, alongside Holy Week, Good Friday, Easter, and our annual Faith Week—when our entire school gathers twice daily for devotionals and worship led by teachers and middle school students.
We love seeing learning and faith so beautifully intertwined. Students' essays are displayed on bulletin boards that were decorated with Palm Sunday artwork that our 4th graders created with their PreK buddies in Mrs. Cindy’s class. Stop by the office hall to view them today!

This week across campus, our students walked through the story at the heart of our faith—journeying from sorrow to hope as we prepared for Easter Sunday.
Through Scripture, storytelling, and hands-on experiences, students explored the events of Holy Week and Good Friday in meaningful ways. Classrooms were filled with the voices of teachers, students and visiting pastors reading the Easter story, the quiet wonder of opening resurrection eggs (each one revealing a symbol of Christ’s journey), and the creativity of students expressing these truths through beautiful artwork.
Older students deepened their understanding by participating in Passover seders—connecting the story of God’s faithfulness from the Old Testament to its fulfillment in Jesus. And as a community, we gathered for our Good Friday chapel, ending the week in worshipful remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice.
Pastor Rose from helped guide some of our younger students with the book, The Garden, the Curtain, and the Cross by Carl Laferton. It beautifully traces the story of Scripture from the Garden of Eden to God’s perfect new creation, reminding us that “because of our sin, we can’t go in”—but through Jesus’ victory on the cross, the curtain is torn, and the way is made for us to enter an even better garden.
As we look ahead to Easter, we rejoice in this truth: the story doesn’t end at the cross.
