A New Chapter Begins at Martial Arts International.

We are proud to share a special look back at the official Ribbon Cutting & Legacy Dedication Ceremony for the new Martial Arts International Worldwide Headquarters.

This invitation-only gathering brought together community leaders, martial arts school owners and instructors, special guests, MAI families, students, members, and friends - some traveling hundreds of miles to be part of this meaningful milestone.

But this day was about more than opening a new facility.

It was about gratitude, legacy, and the people who helped make this new home possible.

We recognized the contractors, tradespeople, and individuals who helped bring the vision for the new headquarters to life. We also honored the lasting legacies of Colonel Robert Hall and Master Sergeant Noah Tietjens, whose leadership, courage, and values will continue to inspire generations.

The celebration became even more memorable with an official proclamation from the City of Bellevue, recognizing the occasion as Grandmaster Julius Melegrito Day.

And finally, surrounded by family, friends, students, and those who have helped shape the journey, the ribbon was cut.

A new home.
A lasting legacy.
A future built together.

Welcome to the Martial Arts International Worldwide Headquarters.

And this is only the beginning.

We asked Bellevue to show up for Noah.

You did. ❤️🇺🇸

People came who served beside him.
People came who trained beside him.
People came who loved him.

And some came who had never met MSG Noah Tietjens at all.

They simply believed that a husband, father, soldier, martial artist, friend, and life of service deserved to be remembered.

Mayor Rusty Hike joined us. Members of Bellevue Fire joined us. Representatives of our state leaders joined us. Veterans and service organizations stood beside Noah’s family.

Jim Meier of Honor and Remember Nebraska and Commander Jeff Conrad of American Legion Post 211 presented Noah’s family with an Honor and Remember Flag bearing his name.

Our martial arts family trained together.
Children participated.
Families shared a meal.

Stories were told.
There were tears.
There was laughter.

And for one morning, people from different parts of Noah’s life stood together in one place.

Our hope from the beginning was simple:

When Michelle and Dylan looked across American Heroes Park, we wanted them to see a community that showed up.

They did.

To every person who came, shared our invitation, brought food, volunteered, presented a tribute, trained with us, or simply stood quietly beside Noah’s family -

thank you.

This wasn’t about how many people attended.

It was about what their presence said:

You are not standing alone.

Noah didn’t just love his family.

He made sure they felt loved.

And now it is our turn to help carry some of that love forward.

MSG Noah Tietjens

We remember.
We carry it forward.

Every belt represents a journey. 🥋

At our recent Color Belt Testing & Black Belt Graduation, students of all ages came together to take another step forward - earning new ranks, reaching new milestones, and showing the commitment and perseverance behind every achievement.

For some, it was another belt earned.

For others, it was the moment they crossed the threshold into black belt - including students advancing into higher degrees.

But no one reaches these milestones alone. Behind every student are families, instructors, training partners, and mentors who encourage them throughout the journey.

This special day also gave us a moment to remember those whose impact continues beyond the training floor, including Master Sergeant Noah Tietjens, who was posthumously promoted to second-degree black belt in Philippine Combatives.

Because martial arts is about much more than rank.

It’s about discipline, courage, character, growth, and who we become along the way.

Congratulations to every student who tested, every graduate who advanced, and every family who helped make the journey possible.

Our hope is simple:

When Noah’s family looks across American Heroes Park that morning, we want them to see a community that showed up.

Some of you knew Noah for years.

Some served beside him.

Some trained with him.

Some loved him.

And some of you may never have had the privilege of knowing him personally.

You are still invited.

This is not only a gathering for Noah’s friends or Martial Arts International.

It is a morning for our entire community.

For military families.
For veterans and active-duty service members.
For first responders.
For civic and community leaders.
For local businesses and organizations.
For martial artists.
For parents and children.
For neighbors who believe that a life of service deserves to be honored.

We will remember Noah through stories and tributes - and then we are going to do something he understood very well:

We are going to stand together and train together.

🥋 COMMUNITY MEMORIAL MARTIAL ARTS CLASS
Open to everyone. No experience or uniform required. Children and adults are welcome.

🇺🇸 COMMUNITY REMEMBRANCE
Stories, military and martial arts tributes, and a time to recognize Noah’s life, service, and impact.

🥘 COMMUNITY POTLUCK
Bring a dish to share if you’d like. Coffee, water, and breakfast treats will be provided.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 FAMILY & COMMUNITY FELLOWSHIP
Bring your family. Invite a friend. Let the kids participate. Stay and spend time together.

📅 SATURDAY, AUGUST 22
⏰ 9:00 –11:00 AM
📍 American Heroes Park | Bellevue, Nebraska

EVERYONE IS WELCOME.

❤️ WOULD YOU LIKE TO PAY TRIBUTE TO NOAH?

Individuals, military groups, martial arts organizations, businesses, and community organizations wishing to make a formal presentation, offer a ceremonial item, plaque, keepsake, memento, or other tribute are asked to coordinate with us in advance.

Please email:
[email protected]

Include your name, organization, what you would like to present, and the meaning behind the tribute.

To protect the flow of the ceremony and ensure Noah’s family is never placed in an unexpected situation, we will not be able to accommodate unplanned formal presentations or speeches during the event.

---

NOW WE’RE ASKING FOR YOUR HELP.

A like shows support.

A share helps someone else know where to show up for Noah.

Please share this invitation with your family, friends, coworkers, military community, church, organization, neighborhood, veterans group, business, and martial arts community.

Our goal is not simply to have people see this post.

Our goal is to fill American Heroes Park with people who chose to show up.

❤️ Support the family.
👥 Invite someone personally.
🇺🇸 Bring a veteran or military family.
🤝 Invite a community leader.
🥋 Come train with us.
