🧬 Something new is beginning at Yuri Method!

This fall, we’re stepping into BioCode: Fusion of Life + Technology — and we started with a deceptively simple question:

⚡ Where does energy go?

Instead of memorizing the answer, students tested, measured, compared, made predictions, and watched energy transform right in front of them. 🔬

💭 Because some of our favorite moments in science begin when something unexpected happens and a student stops and asks:

“Wait… WHY did that happen?” 🤔

✨ That question is where discovery begins.

🧪 Hands-on. Curiosity-driven. Science they can see, test, question, and make their own.

New school year, same us, we back and better than ever.

Could the data solve the case? 🔍📊

During Data Week at our Summer Fellowship Bootcamp, students stepped into the role of forensic investigators to solve a fictional murder mystery—learning how to gather evidence, analyze patterns, and draw conclusions supported by data.

They:
🩸 Experimentally tested blood-spatter patterns using food coloring
🧪 Chemically identified mystery white powders
👣 Analyzed footprints and fingerprints
🎥 Examined phone records and CCTV footage
🗣️ Explored the science of interviewing witnesses
📝 Presented their final hypothesis of what happened, supporting each part of their claim with factual evidence

Every clue required careful observation, controlled testing, and evidence-based reasoning. Data analysis has never been this suspenseful—or this much fun!
