"We ran a test by having the robot navigate through the crowded Labs, but we didn’t tell people there was a test. We got a lot of data about how people naturally interact with robots in the real world."

Hear from MSTI grad Daniel Azua and learn about how his team worked to combine a Fetch Robotics mobile robot base with a Kinova robotic arm with computer vision and AI to create an intelligent automated stockroom retrieval system.

2021 Launch Projects! This and sponsored project created a robotic retrieval system for stockrooms. This system is a proof-of-concept integrating a mobile robot and manipulator arms to work together on tasks to extend the throughput of equipment or supplies. The system can be extended to additional use cases such as library book stocking, food tray assembly, and delivery in assisted living facilities. Congrats to Annan Li, Daniel Azúa, James Muir, Sulaiman Al Akbari, and Yifei Fang.
