POV: A student approaches an intersection with a flashing yellow left arrow and isn’t sure if she should turn.
This is a common moment for many new drivers. A flashing yellow arrow means you may turn left, but you must first yield to oncoming traffic and pedestrians.
In this case, there was no oncoming traffic, so once it’s safe, the left turn can be made.

Common mistakes most new drivers make ❌🚗 Here’s how to set up your car for maximum safety:
➡ Seat: Leave a one-fist gap at your knee for airbag safety. 👊
➡ Pedals: Keep your heel flat on the floor and pivot your toes between the brake and gas.
➡ Rearview Mirror: Frame the entire back window.
➡ Side Mirrors: You should only see ¼ of your own car to eliminate blind spots.
➡ Posture: Sit back straight with your hands at 9 and 3.
