What our 1st/2nd graders are learning- We love our new decodable readers. They are a great addition to our Open Court Reading series. We are cruising this year by reading with each other and to ourselves! We love practicing reading to ourselves with the phones!

On Wednesday, Holy Trinity students celebrated raising $6,850 from our Bengals ticket raffle fundraiser with some ice cream and two special guests!!

Along with WHO DEY, we were also blessed to have Joe Kelly come and speak with our students. Joe Kelly was a 1st round draft pick in 1986 and played for 11 seasons in the NFL. Mr. Kelly is the President and CEO of K.E.L.L.Y. Youth Services, which specializes in adolescent group home and independent living care. Since starting his career in social services, Joe was named “Who’s Who of America”, received the Joe Nuxhall award for “Kid Involvement”, as well as a ProKids “Special Friend” award recipient for his service to children of the community.

Thank you to all those who purchased raffle tickets to help support our Parent and Athletic Clubs! Watch for our next post with some of our favorite photos from the day!

📣 What We're Learning
This week our math brains are stretching into the world of place value and decimals! We're exploring how the position of a digit changes its value, and how decimals let us talk about parts of a whole — like money, measurements, and more.
📸 Math in Action!
Check out one of our mathematicians hard at work using base-ten cubes to build and compare numbers!

Some days are sad but filled with joy in memories!

Ms. Kate's last day is today. She has built our amazing preschool from scratch, and supported Holy Trinity School through thick and thin. She will be greatly missed!

Ms. Kate will now use her talents to minister in the faith to the elderly-her initial life calling! God bless you!
