NRG948 is a large (90-100 person) high school team that competes in the FIRST Robotics Competition (FIRSTRC) from Newport High School in Bellevue, WA. We participate in a number of outreach events which serve to get our name out in the community, so that people know what NRG and FIRST is. In outreach events at public festivals we bring one of our robots and get people, especially kids, excited about robots. We let people drive our robot around, load it up and shoot it, and we make sure we have plenty of people around to answer questions about FIRST or robots in general.
