As summer heats up, we use water play to help keep our kids cool! 😎

Here’s some ideas to get you started on a packing list:
swimsuit 🩱
swim diaper 🧷
water bottle 🌊
sunscreen 🧴 (make sure you’ve filled out a form!)
water shoes 👟
towel ☀️

Happy Feature a Teacher Friday! This week’s feature is our Director, Jessie!

Jessie is completing her second school year as the Director of JRM Preschool. She has worked for Temple for 6.5 years, originally hired as the Associate Executive Director responsible for facilities, security, and HR. She has a master’s in teaching and has been a non-profit program manager for over 20 years. 🍎

In her free time Jessie enjoys reading, watching football with her 17 year old son (Go Dawgs!), and spending time with friends and family. 🐾💜🫍

“I find working with young children very fulfilling - there is so much growth in the first five years of life - it is fun to be part of that. I particularly enjoy the toddler years and early language acquisition. When the director role was suggested to me, I was excited to get back to focusing on education!”

This week’s Feature A Teacher is Morah Aneke! Aneke has been at JRM for 3 years now, and is our 1-2’s teacher. 🦔🫶🏻

In her spare time, Aneke enjoys reading, learning about conservation, and traveling to national parks with her husband and daughter. 🏞️

“Working here has been a life changing experience. The community, the educational opportunities, and every student I’ve had have left an impact on me. I love spending time creating joy and fun experiences in the classroom that support early learning and development. Watching students learn how to be independent and helping them reach that goal has been truly, truly awesome.”

Happy Feature A Teacher Friday! This week’s feature a teacher is Morah Kaitlin 🫶🏻She the assistant teacher for the 1-2 and 2-3 class.

She has been working at JRM for nearly three years, but has almost 8 years of childcare experience! One of her favorite things about JRM is our community based approach. 💗

“This community helps us create a nurturing environment and a foundation for learning skills that the kids will continue to use for the rest of their lives.”

In her free time, Kaitlin enjoys window shopping, spending time with her friends, and getting outside to enjoy the sunshine ☀️
