Cascade Centennial Chapter Sons of the American Revolution

Cascade Centennial Chapter Sons of the American Revolution The CCC, SAR is a local chapter of the National Society that operates primarily in the eastside of Seattle. The SAR is a "lineage" society.

"The SAR is a historical, educational, and patriotic non-profit, United States 501(c)3, corporation that seeks to maintain and extend:

* Institutions of American freedom
* Appreciation of true patriotism
* Respect for our national symbols
* Value of American citizenship
* Unifying force of e pluribus unum that has created, from the people of many nations, one nation and one people. We do this by perpetuating the stories of patriotism, courage, sacrifice, tragedy, and triumph of the people who achieved independence of Americans from Great Britain. The belief that these stories are universal ones of our eternal struggle against tyranny, relevant to all time, will inspire and strengthen each succeeding generation as it too is called upon to defend our freedoms on the battlefield and in our public institutions." This means that each member has traced his family tree back to a point of having an ancestor who supported the cause of American Independence during the years 1774-1783. This page is not an official page sponsored by the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution (“NSSAR”), or any affiliated entity, although the NSSAR has granted permission to use the name “Sons of the American Revolution” for the group. However, Compatriots who are members of the NSSAR who use this Page are expected to abide by the ethical rules of the Society, and postings not in keeping with the mission, purposes and goals of the Society may be removed by the administrator.
