Our Read Across American Week was so AWESOME and wrapped up with a Basketball STEM Activity in our LeMay Family Groups. Let’s just say, it did not disappoint! Students were tasked to build/create a basketball hoop from a set of materials. After completing their hoops students could try them out with a small Pom Pom “basketball”. Students could be heard sharing ideas, responding to others’ ideas, encouraging group members and speaking kindly. Older students were looking after younger students and fun was had by all! What a “LeMay”zing week!

We were so lucky to have some of the Bellevue East Basketball players come and read to our LeMay Owls yesterday! These young men did an outstanding job and even answered questions and gave great advice to our young students about working hard and not giving up! Thank you for being wonderful role models!!

We are thankful for our “LeMay”zing Staff, Students and Families! Students wrote what they are thankful for on the leaves of the beautiful fall tree, some students in 3rd grade made turkeys, Mrs. Salonis’ Kindergarten Class tried to convince us to save the turkeys and eat pizza:)and today Staff are being treated to a Charlie Brown themed Thanksgiving feast!

Tea Party Time!! First Graders in Mrs. Scott’s and Mrs. Lombard’s classes enjoyed a tea party today. Students in both classes had fun dressing up and enjoying punch and cookies using their best manners!!
