From infants to Pre-k, each child had the opportunity to add their touches to our “Under the Sea” school wide mural.

Young children collaborating on projects and working together has many life long benefits. Socially, they practice sharing, taking turns and respecting other’s work. Cognitively, children learn problem solving and flexible thinking. Through observing their peers, they can see there is more than one way to solve a problem or in this case, draw a sea creature.

& since each lesson here is taught in Spanish and Mandarin, the children built vocabulary in two languages in a fun and engaging way.

👶💕 Introducing our Teacher of the Month: Ms. Mama Blanca! 💕👶

Ms. Mama Blanca is our incredible infant specialist and a truly foundational part of our WorldKids family. She cares for each of our babies with her whole heart 🤍, and always goes out of her way to make sure families, staff, and even little ones just passing by her classroom leave with a smile. 😊

A little more about her, in her own words:

🌸 "I was born in Colima, Mexico. I have one handsome son and a beautiful daughter."

📞 "I worked for 32 years at a telephone company called Teléfonos de México in Mexico."

💛 "I have always loved caring for and serving others. I truly believe that every child has the potential to make this world a better place. Children bring so much joy and light to our lives"

👣 "Working at WorldKids has become one of the things I enjoy the most. I love spending time with babies, getting to know each one of them, and having the opportunity to help them learn and grow. Watching them reach new milestones and supporting them during their early years is something I am truly passionate about."

🐢 Summer here at WorldKids Bel-Red has been filled with fun! Each week has had a special theme, and the kids have been counting down to our Amazing Animals week since the beginning of summer.

To kick things off, brought her mobile zoo to visit! 🦎🐍 We got up close with lizards, snakes, and even an alligator but the giant tortoise stole the show as everyone's favorite. 🐢✨

We still have four weeks of summer fun ahead, and space open for your child to join us for August... and beyond!🌞

⚽🌍 World Cup fever has hit our classrooms! At WorldKids School Bel-Red, our "Balls" unit wrapped up this week with each child designing their very own jersey, perfectly timed with all the World Cup excitement.

Our curriculum is project-based and hands-on, with every topic unfolding over 4 weeks. We start with the big picture, then dig deeper each week, so children truly understand the theme rather than just skimming the surface. This time, curious minds discovered what makes objects roll and all the ways we use balls to play and learn, culminating in a celebration of learning where their jersey designs took center stage 🎨

And here's the best part: every lesson is taught in Spanish and Mandarin, so while they're having fun, they're also building fluency in two languages.

🎨🇺🇸 "What does the 4th of July look like to you?" Today our students answered that question with paintbrushes, turning their own Independence Day memories into art!

It's more than a fun craft: recalling and describing memories builds cognitive skills, while painting gives the children a creative outlet for self-expression. And since every interaction at WorldKids School Bel-Red happens in Mandarin and Spanish, each brushstroke also builds vocabulary in two languages at once. 🖌️

Last week was our WorldKids spirit week! Each day had a fun dress up theme and one of our favorites, of course, was wild hair day. The teachers organized fun activities to go along with our themes on top of our regular curriculum and our Pre-k teachers saw this as the perfect opportunity to sharpen our students' scissors skills by having them cut out their own wacky hair styles.

With every snip and chop, the children were not just improving their fine motor skills but also being introduced to new words in both Spanish and Mandarin.

Our nationally accredited curriculum serves even our youngest learners! 👶

The Creative Curriculum from Teaching Strategies GOLD starts from infancy, meaning infants here at WorldKids Bel-Red don't just nap and take bottles, they spend their day engaged in a variety of activities that deepen their understanding of the world around them. Our infants are also immersed in both Mandarin and Spanish daily, giving their growing brains exposure to language from the very start!

Today, our infant classroom participated in a sensory activity. Through sensory, infants learn cause and effect, are introduced to new textures and vocabulary, and build their spatial awareness, all while having fun! ✨

A trip to Niagara Falls… but without leaving Pre-K! 🌊

This week, Ms. Lauren's Pre-K class took a trip around the world without leaving the classroom! As part of our Global Citizenship curriculum, our little learners explored the breathtaking Niagara Falls in Canada through projected images, sparking curiosity, wonder, and SO many questions.

Then came the magic. Armed with eye droppers and shades of blue paint, our students brought their own version of Niagara Falls to life. Watching them squeeze, drip, and discover how gravity does the work was pure joy. Process art like this isn't just beautiful. It builds fine motor skills, creative thinking, and a sense of connection to the world around them.

We love raising citizens of the world. 🌍💙

One of the best ways to introduce children to new cultures is through food! 🍕🌍

Today, our preschool and pre-k students became little chefs and they were so proud of every scoop, sprinkle, and pepperoni placement. Cooking isn't just a delicious way to explore world cultures; it also builds fine motor skills, math concepts (hello, measuring and counting!), and critical thinking, all while having a blast together. This is what learning looks like at WorldKids School. ✨

Tiny scientists at work! 🔍🐛

Our two-year-olds spent the morning digging into our bug exploration bin, and it's a perfect reminder that the best learning often happens through play.

With magnifying glasses in hand, they were practicing early literacy as they explored words like "bug" and "worm," and also improved their math skills by counting and sorting their tiny critter friends.

And because everything at WorldKids happens in Spanish and Mandarin, every bug they spotted came with brand-new vocabulary in two languages.
